There is always something going on in Pembroke, Georgia and this past
Saturday, Pembroke had their Spooktacular 5K run this year. However,
what makes these events so great in Pembroke, are the people who live
and work there. They are dedicated individuals helping Pembroke grow,
bringing the community closer together by their participation and
assistance.
Meet Mayor Warnell of Pembroke, who was recently sworn in at
the beginning of this year in January. As a result of the Mayor's
intervention she proves that consistency is the answer to the city's
growth and expansion. The Mayor was present at the Spooktacular 5K run
this day along with Representative Jan Tankersley, of 158th district.
Her district serves large portions Bulloch County and all of northern
Bryan County, and both ladies are well known for their philanthropy, by
helping their community along with Sharroll Fanslau, Director of
Pembroke’s Downtown Development Authority.
Other contributors to the
event, former Pembroke Chief of Police William E. Bill Collins, now the
city’s Homeland Security/Public Safety Director, and the West Rehab
Ladies, with Ron Elliott of Georgia Game Changers. All assisted by
helping out with the event that day, by creating a safe event for
everyone as well as for the runners who participated in the
festivities. It takes a winning team to make a great city! |
